What is required to obtain a real estate license in Oklahoma?

There are actually three different types of real estate licenses in the state of Oklahoma:  Provisional Sales Associate, Sales Associate, and Broker.  If you are just starting your real estate career, the Provisional Sales Associate license is the first license you should pursue.

In order to obtain a Provisional Associate license, candidates must be of good moral character and be at least eighteen (18) years of age.  In addition, candidates must meet certain educational requirements.  The educational requirements may be met by either successfully completing a ninety (90)  hour basic real estate distance education course that is approved by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission OR by submitting proof to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission of completion of six (6) college credit hours in a real estate discipline that is acceptable by the Commission.  All education must have been completed within the previous 36 months prior to application.

Candidates who meet all of the above requirements are eligible to sit for the state exam.  After passing the exam, a license will be issued by the State of Oklahoma.

What class should I take if I want to obtain my Provisional Sales Associate (PSA) license?

Unless otherwise noted, all of the pre-licensing classes we offer fulfill the educational requirements set forth by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.  After successfully completing a pre-licensing class, you will have the necessary educational preparation for the state's licensing exam.
